Just Eat: supporting restaurant partners during the cost of living crisis

When you think of getting food delivery, you think of Just Eat, and with over 51,000 restaurants and brands to choose from it's no surprise why.
The problem
In 2022, Just Eat announced the launch of a financial package to support its restaurant partners (the beating heart of the business) as they navigate rising inflation costs.

The solution
Through a programme of discovery, design and development, Just Eat and Ideas + Outcomes developed an educational hub in just 6 weeks.

The result
The hub hosts everything from wholesale deals to educational content to support busy, time poor restaurant owners and managers weather the storm, plan for success and to help save money. Launching in late 2022, the hub branded ‘extra helpings’ has been a huge success. Just Eat reported on a significant impact on restaurant partner engagement and has also helped them onboard new partners!

It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in this project with Just Eat, I’ve been ‘behind the curtain’ having witnessed a family member's restaurant rise and fall in the last year, so this one was close to my heart. Just Eat’s customer knowledge was superb, which helped us to build empathy and put ourselves in the shoes of their restaurant partners. I’m proud to have been part of the squad to deliver this fantastic resource!
