6,000+ Prizes Delivered for Just Eat Partners

The Problem
The festive season is the busiest time for Just Eat’s restaurant and grocery Partners. Customers order food after long shopping days or groceries for gatherings, putting pressure on Partners to deliver.
Coming off a tough year of high inflation and cost-of-living pressures, Partners needed support and positivity. Just Eat wanted to share business updates and say thank you by creating an interactive scratch-to-match game with 1,800 prizes ranging from shopping vouchers to wearable tech.

The Idea
We built a Laravel-driven PHP backend with a ReactJS front end to create a quick, flexible, intuitive web app.
Access control: Only available via QR code in the festive mailer, with two-factor login to ensure only Partners could play.
Design: Aligned with Just Eat branding and the mailer for a seamless experience.
Mechanics: Everyone who scratched won a prize, with allocation randomised and stored against partner details to prevent duplication.
Experience: Digital scratch card brought to life with custom icons revealed by cursor or touch.
Fulfilment: Integrated with Huggg for prize management and delivery.
Lifecycle: App automatically closed and updated messaging once all prizes were claimed.
